The Essex County Labour Party

The Essex County Labour Party is the ruling body for the Essex County Labour Group of Councillors who serve on Essex County Council.

We work closely with all Essex Labour MPs, Councillors and Party Members to ensure the widest possible cooperation throughout the County to deliver the best possible representation at County Hall Chelmsford for the benefit of Essex People.

We wish to represent the views of the people of Essex and greatly value your contribution to our debates.

Please note that following the results of the County Elections on 4 June 2009 there is now only one Labour Councillor on Essex County Council. Councillor Julie Young was successful in retaining her seat for the Colchester Division of Wivenhoe St Andrew.
